What is hibuno? An indie developer building tools people actually use
**hibuno** is the indie developer identity of Muhibbudin Suretno — a developer from Indonesia who has been building on the web since 2015.
The name
hibuno is a personal handle, not a company. It's the name under which I ship independent products, write about building software, and take on long-term client collaborations. Think of it as a one-person studio with a clear point of view.
What I build
I focus on three things:
**Privacy-first tools.** Software that defaults to local processing, minimal data collection, and user control. The flagship example is [Saku](https://saku.hibuno.com) — a personal finance tracker where your data is AES-256 encrypted on your device and never shared with third parties.
**Browser-native games.** Playable in any browser, no install, no account. [Stellar Blasts](https://sb.hibuno.com) is a block blast puzzle game with a deep-space theme and progressive levels. [Flip Numbers](https://fn.hibuno.com) is an advanced take on 2048 — with power-ups, board modifiers, combo streaks, and daily challenges.
**Client platform engineering.** Long-term collaborations with businesses across Indonesia — building platforms, dashboards, and digital products through [Cakradigital/Cakramedia](https://cakradigital.com) and direct client relationships.
The philosophy
I don't build for growth metrics or VC funding. I build things that solve real problems, respect the people using them, and are worth maintaining long-term. Small, focused, honest software.
